My current projects explore fragmented portraiture, as a way to describe resilience in the face of adversity, trauma, and hardship. By allowing light and shadows to subtly interact with loose paper edges, I embrace the marks of the creative process - the pencil lines, scissor cuts, and subtle imperfections may not be visible in all photographs, but they are there. These marks symbolise the journey towards healing. This style series act as a gentle reminder that our struggles and setbacks can often lead to a profound transformation, ultimately guiding us towards a more fulfilling version of ourselves.
